OVERVIEW Live the experience. From professional empowerment to continual learning opportunities. From ongoing investment in new and emerging technologies to a career of self-determination. At Ulta Beauty, our tech team is critical to our scalability—and is recognized that way. We’ve been defined as a “mature start-up.” A place where interdepartmental exposure, open doors, and genuine collaboration is ubiquitous. Where challenges come fast and furious, requiring agility, mental dexterity, and creativity. Where our passion for better solutions drives us and is core to who we are. We’re engineering for the future of retail, and it’s no-holds-barred. But for those motivated by continual change and ambiguity, by superior leadership, by whip smart colleagues who will press you daily for your very best, you’ll find that virtually nothing’s impossible at Ulta Beauty. THE IMPACT YOU CAN HAVE: The Product Owner – Enterprise Integration Platform POD will be the primary owner of the product vision, roadmap, and execution for our enterprise integration platform. This role is responsible for managing all initiatives driven by the Enterprise Integration Platform Team (POD), ensuring that integration capabilities are delivered on time, meet business needs, and align with the company’s strategic priorities. As a core member of the Agile Scrum team, the Product Owner will oversee the creation, prioritization, and maintenance of the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business goals, architectural standards, and integration best practices. The PO will work closely with the Platform Product Manager, Integration Architects, Engineering Leads, and business stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of integration services, APIs, event-driven capabilities, and other platform components. The role requires deep knowledge of enterprise integration patterns, APIs, middleware, and platform governance, along with strong leadership to manage dependencies across multiple teams and business units. YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH THESE GOALS BY:

  • Own the Enterprise Integration Platform vision and roadmap, ensuring it supports enterprise strategy, scalability, and modernization goals.
  • Manage and prioritize the platform backlog for initiatives including API management, event streaming, middleware enhancements, integration accelerators, and operational improvements.

  • Facilitate cross-team coordination for dependencies with application teams, data teams, infrastructure, and security.
  • Translate business and technical requirements into clear epics, features, and user stories with well-defined acceptance criteria.
  • Lead sprint planning, backlog refinement, and reviews while ensuring stories are ready for development.
  • Act as the bridge between the delivery team and stakeholders, ensuring alignment on priorities, timelines, and scope.
  • Track and report platform KPIs (e.g., API adoption, performance, operational stability) to stakeholders.
  • Champion platform governance, reusability, and best practices across integration initiatives.
  • Facilitate release planning and communicate release notes, impact, and adoption guidance to stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvement in Agile delivery processes and platform capabilities.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture to ensure integration solutions adhere to architectural principles and technology roadmaps.
  • Partner with security and compliance teams to ensure integrations meet policy requirements.
  • Promote platform adoption by evangelizing new capabilities and enabling development teams to leverage them effectively.
  • Mentor other POs, BAs, and team members on integration concepts and platform usage.
  • Engage with vendor partners for platform enhancements, licensing, and upgrades.

ESSENTIALS FOR SUCCESS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience, including at least 3+ years as a Product Owner in an Agile/Scrum environment.
