Job Summary

As a data entry specialist, you will be responsible for researching and responding to telephone and written inquiries from customers, while maintaining a high level of accuracy, productivity, and quality standards. This is a temporary to permanent remote opportunity, with the option to work from home after completing an initial 8-week training period. During this time, you will be required to work fully onsite, but will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

* Research and respond to customer inquiries in a prompt, accurate, and objective manner

  • Utilize data entry and typing skills to accurately capture and record customer information
  • Evaluate customer situations, make decisions, and respond quickly to questions
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of medical terminology and anatomy
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve customer issues and improve overall customer satisfaction
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, reports, and databases
  • Meet productivity and quality standards, with a focus on continuous improvement

Essential Qualifications

* High School Diploma or GED

  • 1 year of customer service experience in a health care or health insurance environment
  • Experience evaluating customer situations, making decisions, and responding quickly to questions
  • Data entry and/or typing experience
  • Interpersonal, analytical, organizational, and independent decision-making skills
  • Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

* 1 year of customer service experience

  • 6 months of data entry experience in an office environment
  • Experience working with various lines of business, including CDHP, Medicare, Wellness, and Disease Management
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy

Skills and Competencies

* Strong data entry and typing skills (at least 40 wpm)

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
