Job Overview and Key Responsibilities

As a Ramp Agent and Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our customers' baggage and cargo arrive safely and on time. Some of your daily tasks will include:

  • Safely lifting, loading, unloading, and transporting baggage, mail, and cargo to and from aircraft
  • Safeguarding cargo, baggage, and mail from damage, loss, and weather
  • Safely driving and operating ground equipment such as tugs, belt loaders, and tow tractors in areas of congestion
  • Operating baggage scanners and computers to ensure baggage is routed accurately to the customer's destination
  • Guiding incoming and departing aircraft from the gate positions to ensure timely connections

Work Environment and Schedule

As a Ramp Agent and Customer Service Representative, you will work in a fast-paced airport environment with varying weather conditions. You will be required to work a variety of shifts, including early morning, afternoon, and overnight shifts, with a minimum of 20 hours and a maximum of 40 hours per week. Your schedule will be based on operational needs and seniority.

Minimum Qualifications

To succeed as a Ramp Agent and Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you will need:

  • To consistently prioritize safety and security of self, others, and personal data

  • A high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency
  • To be at least 18 years of age and have authorization to work in the United States
  • A valid driver's license
  • Proficiency in English
  • To pass a physical ability test (PAT)
  • To wear required company-approved Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Ability to hold airport-specific requirements such as a SIDA Badge and Customs Seal
