Key Responsibilities

As a Customer Support Chat Agent at blithequark, you will be responsible for:

  • Engaging with customers through online chat and messaging platforms, responding to inquiries, providing information, and offering assistance in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assisting customers in navigating our products or services, addressing their questions, concerns, and technical issues with empathy and patience.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving customer problems, escalating complex issues to higher levels of support when necessary, and maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer service etiquette in all interactions.
  • Updating internal databases with information about technical issues and useful discussions with customers to ensure accurate and up-to-date knowledge.
  • Meeting or exceeding performance targets, including response time, customer satisfaction scores, and chat volume goals, while staying updated on product knowledge and company policies.
  • Collaborating with team members and other departments to ensure consistent and effective customer support, and contributing to a positive and supportive team environment.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent; a college degree is preferred.
  • Excellent written communication skills with a strong command of grammar and spelling, and the ability to communicate effectively with customers from diverse backgrounds.
  • Proven ability to succeed in a fast-paced sales or customer service environment, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think quickly and logically.
  • Proficiency in using computers and familiarity with chat and messaging platforms, as well as the ability to multitask effectively and handle multiple chat conversations simultaneously.
  • Empathy, patience, and a customer-focused attitude, with a willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays if required.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable:

  • Previous experience in customer support or a related field, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • Familiarity with blithequark's products or services, or a strong desire to learn and grow with the company.
  • Certification in customer service or a related field, such as Certified Customer Service Representative (CCSR) or Certified Support Specialist (CSS).
  • Experience with CRM software, such as Salesforce or Zendesk, and a willingness to learn and adapt to new tools and technologies.
