As a member of our Payments and Digital Strategy team at blithequark, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our credit union's everyday features, including checking processing, object processing, direct bills, and budget transfers. Your expertise and attention to detail will be essential in maintaining the high standards of customer service that blithequark is renowned for.

Key Responsibilities

* Complete statistical access and balancing features to ensure accurate and timely processing of transactions

  • Coordinate return items with contributors, door vendors, the Federal Reserve Bank, and other institutions to resolve any issues efficiently
  • Assist various departments with fraud resolution, member inquiries, and associated accounting standard ledger balancing to maintain the integrity of our financial systems
  • Work member cases/sports assigned to provide personalized support and resolve any concerns in a timely manner
  • Follow and maintain guidelines and procedures to ensure strict compliance with NACHA regulations and guidelines, as well as Federal Banking laws
  • Process mortgage bills, multi-account and member deposits, credit card bills, and other exams, including IRA, financial ruin, and payoff exams
  • Review, examine, and approve Remote Deposit, Mobile, ATM, and other imaged-enabled products to ensure accuracy and security
  • Log, study, and make necessary GL, account changes and/or returns to maintain up-to-date records
  • Process Stop Pays and Check Batching to prevent any potential issues or discrepancies
  • Complete daily balancing and department closing to ensure accurate and timely processing of transactions
  • Obtain information from contributors for the timely and correct processing of international and domestic budget switch requests
  • Research and verify incoming and outgoing budget switch information to ensure accuracy and security
  • Communicate with vendors to facilitate budget transfers and resolve any issues that may arise
  • Understand and be familiar with outgoing and incoming budget switch laws and regulations to ensure compliance
  • Deposit check returns, review member re-exams on draft changes, process member exams, verify contributors for outgoing budget transfers, and Federal Reserve verifying and releasing budget transfers
  • Complete daily processing of workflows associated with overdue returns, supply of receipts, international collections, and court fees to ensure timely and accurate processing of transactions

What You'll Need for Success

To excel in this role, you will need to possess the following minimum qualifications:

  • High school degree or GED
  • Intermediate Excel and Word experience
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and with minimum supervision
  • Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines under high-pressure situations
  • Ability to maintain excellent performance and attendance

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Previous customer/member service experience
  • Previous banking or Credit Union experience
  • Episys/Symitar and processing wires experience
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office software (e.g., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) through work experience or education
  • Ability to work prolonged hours in aid of business needs
  • Ability to exercise excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations and review data
  • Ability to effectively prioritize work and meet deadlines
  • Ability to cross-train and perform any position assigned within the department
  • Ability to interact professionally with all personnel and contributors
  • Ability to work independently and with minimum supervision
  • Ability to self-motivate with strong employer skills and ability for interest to detail
