Job Summary The Lab Research Professional (RP) will work with the Tolan Center for Healthcare and Professor Dan Adelman in the Healthcare Analytics Laboratory. In the Laboratory, teams of MBA students and other graduate students from across campus work with healthcare providers to improve delivery by analyzing large, complex datasets. The RP will work with faculty, staff, students, and sponsors to expand the research work of the lab, converting analytic tools developed by researchers into software applications. In collaboration with Booth IT and others, this position will also provide project management for ongoing work to extend the lab’s research IT environment and healthcare data resources to support new application development. Applications built will be piloted and studied within healthcare organizations and in the classroom.
Responsibilities
Develops and tests data-driven applications. Designs and manages databases, performs preliminary research. Liaises with technical teams to build and maintain IT infrastructure for lab activities. Obtains and organizes information for research from other academic institutions and practitioners. Maintains effective communication with faculty and outside institutions. Collects data, conducts analysis, writes software programs, and organizes the presentation of results. Creates charts, tables, and descriptive text for presentations. Maintains technical and administrative support for a research project. Analyzes and maintains data and/or specimens. Conducts literature reviews. Assists with preparation of reports, manuscripts and other documents. Performs other related work as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
