We are currently hiring a Curriculum Developer for a temporary part time position to help grow our company and ensure our mission is achieved! While this is initially a short-term assignment, there is a possibility for an extension or transition to a permanent role based on performance, business needs, and mutual agreement. Our learning and development department has one goal: to create a positive, engaging, and memorable experience for our customers and agents while driving the business. YOU ARE: Responsible for working with a team of fellow curriculum developers to set the direction and guide the design and development of all training initiatives that result from Progressive’s partnership with our retailers and customers. This position will also be responsible for creating eLearning content as well as maintaining the content in our Learning Management System (LMS). Possessing a strong instructional design background and proven experience in all facets of the adult learning process will be essential to the success of this position; as well as your ability to coordinate and work multiple high-priority projects simultaneously. OUR DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Experience as a Blended Learning Architect; Instructor-Led Training (ILT), eLearning (CBT), and Webinar/Virtual Instructor-Led Training (VILT)
  • Ability to apply sound learning principles, agile methods, learning technology and program management skills together in the design, development and maintenance of learning programs
  • Critical thinking; you must understand the end goal of a learning module and design courses that get learners to the end goal as quickly and effectively as possible, focusing on retention and adoption of first principles
  • Proactive; in reaching out to stakeholders to define priorities and deliver on needs
  • Passionate; you must be passionate about creating a world-class learning and development discipline at Progressive Leasing
  • Experience with course design tools used to create high-quality learning materials (Lessonly, Articulate, Captivate, etc.)You must be comfortable with ambiguity and shifting priorities; capable of delivering on goals and objectives with minimal supervision
  • Adept at working with learning support technology; e.g. eLearning software, virtual classroom technology, 3rd party learning applications, micro-learning, etc.
  • Client oriented; collaborative, responsive, ability to facilitate consensus among divergent viewpoints and build relationships at all levels that inspire confidence
  • Strong team player and the ability to work under pressure
  • Strong desire to learn and develop additional skills and expertise
  • Exceptional attention to detail; able to present and communicate facts/data/recommendations thoughtfully and accurately YOU’LL BRING:
  • 3+ years of experience in all aspects of ADDIE and creating learning programs
  • Results oriented, and able to accomplish assigned tasks consistently
  • Master of all Microsoft products and eLearning authoring tools like Articulate 360, Captivate, etc.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to effectively review and provide an accurate, well-organized deliverable in a time-conscious fashion
  • Superior verbal and written communications skills
  • Proven collaborative work style, with a strong ability to build relationships, gain credibility and partner with internal co-workers
  • Ability to organize and complete multiple high-priority projects on schedule under tight deadlines
