[Remote] Security Engineer, Service Delivery (Network Security-Fortinet)

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. 11:11 Systems is looking for an experienced Network Security Engineer, Service Delivery to aid in the deployment and support of their Managed Firewall and Security Services. The role involves collaborating with customers and teams to deploy security solutions, migrate configurations, and provide technical expertise throughout the service delivery process.

Responsibilities

• Active member of 11:11 Systems’ service delivery team working with customers, project managers (PM), and network operations center (NOC) to deploy new firewall, switching, and security solutions for global customer base
• Technical subject matter expert for deployment of managed solutions from initial service order to NOC support handoff
• Migrate firewall configurations from other platforms to Fortinet FortiGate firewall and provide remote assistance during cutover to new devices
• Retrieve installation information from customer, build-out customer tenants and provide software to partner/customer for SIEM and EDR deployments
• Examine network topologies to understand data flows through the network and provide recommendations for improvement
• Record events and problems and their resolution in tickets and report project status, time, and any issues to PM
• Create detailed firewall configurations for ongoing device management 11:11
• Collaborate across departmental lines and develop depth in your desired cyber discipline and/or technologies
• Communicate feedback/suggestions by customers to the appropriate internal teams
• Identify and suggest possible process improvements to daily/weekly battle rhythms for security operations and service delivery
• Work supportively with colleagues, operating in a manner that is consistent with 11:11’s Code of Business Ethics and Company Values
• Responsibly receive, transmit, and handle company data and information per Company data handling agreements, work procedures and policies
• Review and follow company policies and guidelines, data privacy practices, including annual compliance training certification and policy acknowledgments
• Additional duties as assigned

Skills

• 5 years’ of relevant experience managing, supporting, and/or deploying Fortinet or other security solutions
• Demonstrated expertise in various security methodologies, deployment processes, and technical security solutions (firewall and network/security devices)
• Demonstrated knowledge of TCP/IP Protocols, network analysis, and network/security applications in the cloud and on-prem
• Excellent network troubleshooting skills
• Experience with networking including vpn, vlan, acl, routing and switching
• Strong troubleshooting and knowledge of the OSI model
• Experience managing projects to completion and reporting status and any known issues
• Strong attention to detail, with an ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
• Excellent interpersonal skills and professional demeanor, understands and demonstrates superior customer service
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must be legally eligible to work in assigned country without visa sponsorship
