Director of Marketing | Experiential, Events | National/Remote

Remote Full-time Live

We are on the hunt for a new Director of Marketing. It’s a big role with a good combo of leading and doing. Reporting to our Chief Creative Officer, this leader will expand Pinnacle’s share of voice in the market and shape how the world experiences our brand. You’ll define how Pinnacle shows up to potential clients, partners, and future teammates through a distinctive, experience-driven point of view. You’ll lead a small but mighty team of marketers and creators, developing campaigns, content, and communications that capture attention and convert it into momentum. Equal parts strategist and storyteller, you’ll help position Pinnacle as a creative agency known for daring ideas, flawless execution, and the kind of kinetic energy that attracts world-class talent and brands. This is a role for a builder. You’ll shape the voice, systems, and marketing foundation that will define Pinnacle’s next era. We are open to a remote position or in-office/hybrid with any one of our six facilities—Portland, Oregon; Morgan Hill, California; Irvine, California; Chicago, Illinois; Hartford, Connecticut or Raleigh, North Carolina.

What You'll Do

  • Shape the story. Build and evolve Pinnacle’s brand identity, voice, and market presence to reflect who we are today and where we’re going.
  • Lead the charge. Oversee the marketing department and collaborate with creative, sales, and leadership teams to align strategies and opportunities.
  • Create visibility. Expand Pinnacle’s share of voice across earned and owned channels from social to awards to press.
  • Own the channels. Lead website strategy, social content, PR, case studies, and all touchpoints that tell the Pinnacle story.
  • Measure the magic. Use analytics to assess campaign performance and identify what’s working, what’s not, and what’s next.
  • Collaborate deeply. Partner with creative leadership on positioning, storytelling, and the voice of the agency in all pitches, presentations, and marketing moments.

Who You Are

  • A visionary agency marketer who can balance strategy, storytelling, and execution.
  • A builder who loves establishing new systems, processes, and cultural habits.
  • A fearless communicator with a gift for distilling complex ideas into clear, magnetic narratives and points of view.
  • A leader and collaborator who gets energy from developing teams and connecting dots across disciplines.
  • A data-informed creative — you track results but always lead with instinct, curiosity, and passion.
  • A brand evangelist who can make others feel what makes Pinnacle, Pinnacle.

What You'll Bring

  • 8–12 years of marketing experience, with a focus on agency, brand, or experiential industries.
  • Proven track record of building, leading, and managing marketing teams and programs.
  • Strong understanding of brand strategy, content marketing, social media, and digital storytelling.
  • Comfort working cross-functionally with executive leadership, sales, and creative teams.
  • Fluency in CMS and digital publishing tools
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and presentation tools (Keynote, PowerPoint).
  • Exceptional creative and strategic writing and communication skills.

Not For You If...

  • You think “brand” is just a logo or color palette.
  • You prefer maintaining systems instead of building them.
  • You believe marketing and creativity are separate things.
  • You’re allergic to fast-moving environments or collaboration.
  • You like safe thinking more than bold action.

Why You'll Love It Here

  • Lead the charge in defining how one of the most creative experiential agencies shows up.
  • Collaborate with an ambitious, collaborative team that laughs hard, works smart, and constantly raises the bar.
  • Be part of a culture that values authenticity
  • Get a competitive salary, strong benefits (medical/dental/vision, 401(k), PTO, life insurance, long-term disability), and the freedom to do your best work from where you work best.
