Job Description
As a Full Stack Java Software Engineer in our Customer Systems Development department, you'll play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining the software systems that support our customers' needs. You'll work closely with our business leaders, application owners, designers, and project managers to identify and prioritize project requirements, and you'll be responsible for developing and implementing software solutions that meet those requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, develop, and maintain software systems using Java and Java-based technologies, including Spring, REST, and multi-threading
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements and develop software solutions that meet those requirements
- Develop and implement software solutions that are scalable, reliable, and secure
- Work with artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies to develop predictive models and analytics
- Design and develop large-scale, low-latency web applications using Java and other technologies
- Develop and implement APIs and web services using REST and other technologies
- Collaborate with data engineers to design and develop data pipelines and data warehouses
- Develop and implement data analytics and business intelligence solutions using Java and other technologies
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to other developers
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in software development and apply that knowledge to improve our software systems
Essential Qualifications
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in software development using Java and Java-based technologies
- Strong understanding of software design patterns, architecture, and development methodologies
- Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems such as Git
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with cloud-based technologies such as AWS or Azure
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker
- Experience with DevOps tools and practices
- Experience with artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies
- Experience with data analytics and business intelligence tools and technologies
- Strong understanding of security principles and practices
- Experience with testing and quality assurance methodologies
