Essential Duties & Responsibilities

As a Call Center Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you will be responsible for:

  • Staffing the Phones: Answer incoming and make outbound calls, taking appropriate action for each call depending on the call's basis and the plan participant's needs.
  • Educating Callers: Educate callers on 403b & 457b IRS guidelines, ensuring that they understand their benefits and responsibilities.
  • Providing Technical Support: Provide technical support and troubleshoot participant actions on the website, including filling out forms and uploading documents.
  • Inputting Data: Input data into system platforms and keep caller's records updated, ensuring accurate and timely information.
  • Maintaining Customer Satisfaction: Meet call center metrics based on assignments, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Adhering to Schedule: Adhere to the schedule, with regular attendance and punctuality.
  • Attending Meetings and Training Sessions: Regularly attend department and company meetings and training sessions to stay updated on policies and procedures.
  • Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned, contributing to the success of the team and the organization.

Education / Experience

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: A high school diploma or equivalent, with a strong foundation in math and language skills.
  • Prior Experience in a Call Center or High-Volume Customer Service Environment: Prior experience in a call center or high-volume customer service environment, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • Experience in Pension/Retirement and/or Benefits Administration: Experience in pension/retirement and/or benefits administration, with a strong understanding of IRS regulations and compliance.

Language Skills

As a Call Center Customer Service Representative, you will need to:

  • Read, Write, and Communicate 403b/457b IRS Guidelines: Read, write, and communicate 403b/457b IRS guidelines, policies, and procedures to participants with varying degrees of education.
  • Fluent in Spanish: Be fluent in Spanish, with the ability to communicate effectively with Spanish-speaking participants.

Mathematical Skills

You will need to:

  • Understand and Calculate Mathematical Concepts: Understand and calculate mathematical concepts of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, particularly in relation to payroll deductions for participants.

Physical Demands

As a Call Center Customer Service Representative, you will need to:

Work Environment

As a fully remote Call Center Customer Service Representative, you will:

  • Work Independently: Work independently under minimal supervision, with the ability to manage your time and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Interact with Plan Participants, Plan Sponsors, Financial Advisors, and Administration: Interact with plan participants, plan sponsors, financial advisors, and administration through calls or emails, as well as internal company staff.
  • Work in a Fast-Paced, Demanding Environment: Work in a fast-paced and demanding environment, with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.

Availability

You must be available to work 8:00 am-5 pm, Monday-Friday, with flexibility to work occasional overtime as needed.
