In this critical role, you will be responsible for receiving and documenting payments, posting copays and adjustments, and managing write-offs according to Explanation of Benefits (EOB) guidelines. Key Responsibilities
Accurately receive and document payments and adjustments to accounts, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Post copays, deductibles, coinsurance, write-offs, and payments according to EOBs, utilizing your knowledge of medical billing terminology and processes. Apply recoupments in line with EOB guidelines, demonstrating your understanding of medical billing procedures. Utilize account details to manage write-offs for inclusive CPT codes as directed by payers, showcasing your analytical skills. Execute system-related tasks to accurately post daily cash receipts, retractions, refunds, denials, and adjustments, highlighting your technical proficiency. Consistently meet productivity standards while maintaining high-quality performance, demonstrating your commitment to excellence. Handle sensitive information responsibly, adhering to professional standards and regulatory requirements, showcasing your integrity and professionalism. Required Skills and Qualifications To succeed in this role, you will need: Previous experience in medical billing, preferably in a similar role, with a strong understanding of medical billing terminology and processes. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to analyze and interpret complex data.
