Advanced Systems Design is seeking a Decision Support Specialist (Data Analyst or BI Analyst), Intermediate for our client located in Tallahassee, FL. This position is onsite in Tallahassee, FL, and requires in-person availability starting day 1. Job Overview: Serve as the Data Analyst for the Department?s D&A Office to support data visualization and analysis needs. This position supports the Office of Environmental Accountability and Transparency developing dashboards and reports using Qlik Sense. ? Develop visually appealing, intuitive, user-friendly, and insightful Qlik Sense dashboards and reports ? Advise program areas on which visualizations and analyses would best help them achieve their goals ? Collaborate with data engineers and others to gather and clean data from various sources, ensuring data integrity and quality ? Use statistical methods and techniques to identify patterns, trends, correlations, and anomalies, and extract meaningful insights ? Interpret results using a variety of techniques, ranging from simple data aggregation to more complex statistical analysis ? Work collaboratively with program areas to identify KPIs and develop metrics to track and measure progress toward goals ? Collaborate with data engineers and others to optimize data collection, storage, and retrieval processes ? Monitor data quality to identify data issues and propose data cleansing or enhancement solutions ? Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in data analysis, visualization, and reporting ? Partner with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, scientists, and others to understand data needs, address technical challenges, and promote data-driven decision-making across the organization. ? Provide overall direction, guidance, and definition of the enterprise?s architecture to effectively support the agency?s business strategy. ? Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff members and colleagues, fostering a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and excellence in D&A practices. Required Qualifications: ? 2+ years of experience in data visualization and analysis with Qlik Sense. ? Proficient in gathering and cleaning data from various sources (Proficiency level: 3) ? Familiar with statistical methods and techniques to identify patterns, trends, correlations, and anomalies (Proficiency level: 3) ? Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate program requirements into technical solutions and engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels. (Proficiency level: 3) ? Good oral (presenting and public speaking) and written (documentation, briefing reports, correspondence, PowerPoint presentations, etc.) communication skills. (Proficiency level: 3) ? Ability to determine work priorities and ensure proper completion of work assignments. (Proficiency level: 3) Preferred Qualifications: ? Experience with Alteryx. ? Experience with Oracle SQL Developer, TOAD, or similar data tools. ? Familiarity with environmental data. Education: ? Bachelor?s or master?s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Science, or other Information Technology major, or equivalent work experience. Advanced Systems Design, Inc. is: ?
