Key Responsibilities:

As a Customer Experience Agent, you'll be responsible for:

  • Fielding incoming customer service calls, taking ownership of resolving customer issues in an accurate and timely manner
  • Researching account status and identifying account issues to provide effective solutions
  • Addressing billing inquiries and resolving billing disputes with professionalism and empathy
  • Processing disconnection and re-connection requests with precision and efficiency
  • Enrolling customers and resolving enrollment issues with a focus on customer satisfaction
  • Initiating collection activity on past due accounts and processing disconnection and re-connection requests with a commitment to fairness and transparency
  • Serving as a customer advocate while adhering to all regulatory requirements and company policies associated with the role

Essential Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) language proficiency, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers in both languages
  • Outstanding phone etiquette and polished communication skills (written and verbal), with a focus on building trust and rapport with customers
  • Excellent listening skills, with the ability to understand and address customer concerns in a timely and effective manner
  • The ability to maintain a calm demeanor when dealing with agitated customers, with a focus on de-escalation and conflict resolution
  • Attentive to detail and committed to high-quality customer service, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and suggest process improvements
  • Proficiency in Windows environment and MS Word and Excel applications, with the ability to navigate and utilize various software systems
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment where change is commonplace, with a focus on adaptability and flexibility

Preferred Qualifications:

While not required, experience in the following areas is highly desirable:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in an inbound call center environment, with customer care experience strongly preferred
  • Experience within the retail electricity industry strongly preferred
  • Experience in similar markets such as utilities, telecom, or cable preferred
