Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced High School Math Tutor to join our team in Chattanooga, TN. As a tutor, you will work with students in grades 9-12, providing personalized support in High School Math, Homework Prep, Algebra, Geometry, and Calculus. Your primary responsibility will be to create a supportive and engaging learning environment that encourages students to excel beyond their expectations.

Responsibilities

As a High School Math Tutor at arenaflex, your key responsibilities will include:

• Providing high-quality tutoring sessions that meet the individual needs of each student
• Effectively balancing tutoring hours for each assigned student
• Successfully teaching students to fit their individual learning styles
• Servicing existing clients' concerns, questions, and requests in a professional and timely manner
• Following up with the office when a student's enrollment package is low on hours
• Ensuring that students' needs meet your own capabilities and expertise

Minimum Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following minimum qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in the education field and industry preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in tutoring/teaching in specialized education fields preferred
• Credentialed tutors and/or graduate degrees are a plus but not a requirement
• Experience with basic Database/ Data Entry
• Ability to prepare accordingly for each tutoring session (lesson plan)
• Having a personality that is suited for different types of students
• Strong administration skills
• Strong typing, PC, and recording skills
• Having reliable transportation with current car insurance
• Access to the internet, a computer, and a smartphone

Preferred Qualifications

While the minimum qualifications are essential, we also welcome candidates with the following preferred qualifications:

• Experience working with students with diverse learning needs and abilities
• Familiarity with educational software and technology
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience with lesson planning and curriculum development
