This role will be critical to the delivery of this new and innovativeapproach.IT Services at the University of Sheffield provide a full range of complex IT and technology enabled services that support education, research, workplace, corporate services andinfrastructure enablers to all our staff and students. This large and highly innovative department is undergoing a significant amount of change as it establishes itself as a key enterprise IT partner that works across the University, with stakeholders and key partners to deliver enterprise-wide products and services in line with strategic aims.We are seeking a creative, high-performing and engaging Team Leader whocan manage and lead the Salesforce development and administration team as part of our Technology function. You will manage a team of high-performing Salesforce developers and administrators in maintaining and enhancing Salesforce, whilst building a strong relationship with other technical and product colleagues.You will have a wide range of experience in Salesforce development in a corporate environment and understand the importance of design and development standards, especially regarding security, performance, user experience and accessibility. You will have a track record of releasing quality software and be able to establish relationships with a wide range of customers and stakeholders across the University and beyond. To achieve this you will build a high-performing team and develop them to have the right skills and processes to deliver.Main duties and responsibilities
- Manage the Salesforce Development team and ensure the team are working to consistent technical standards
- Provide leadership and direction to the team, providing clear guidance and support to get the best out of team members and allowing them to work to a high standard
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Delivery Leads and other teams in product areas to support a roadmap for the entire product area
- Translate the needs of the business into value-driven workloads for the team and represent the demands and requirements of the technology back to the organisation
- Devise or identify technical professional development opportunities for team members to keep skills current
- Oversee the systems run by the team
- Ensure all systems are properly managed, documented and kept up to date
- Work with integrations, platforms and solutions architecture teams to create and maintain a software development and operations strategy for the department and ensure that Salesforce development is done in line with best practice
- Development and maintenance of systems within Salesforce, including Marketing and Education Cloud
- Work as a leader and member of agile project and Scrum teams, as well as independently, on a variety of projects
- Act as a technical point of contact in areas of expertise with other colleagues and departments
- Keep up to date with new technologies and improve existing skills using all available resources
- Carry out other duties, commensurate with the grade and remit of the post
