Job Summary
As a Senior Data Engineer at arenaflex, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale data systems, ensuring high-quality data, and driving business growth through data-driven insights. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders, to develop and implement data solutions that meet the company's strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, develop, and maintain large-scale data systems, including data warehouses, data lakes, and data pipelines
- Ensure high-quality data through data validation, data cleansing, and data governance
- Develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using Python and Apache Beam
- Collaborate with data scientists to develop and implement data-driven solutions
- Work with business stakeholders to understand business requirements and develop data solutions that meet their needs
- Ensure data security and compliance with relevant regulations, including SOX and GDPR
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports for C-Level leaders
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure data consistency and integrity across the organization
- Participate in code reviews and ensure high-quality code
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies
Essential Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on large-scale data systems
- Strong experience with data warehousing, data modeling, data access, and data storage strategies
- Strong experience with SQL and query writing
- Experience with ETL/ELT pipelines using Python and Apache Beam
- Experience with data governance, data validation, and data cleansing
- Strong experience with data security and compliance with relevant regulations
- Strong experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI
- Strong experience with cloud-based platforms, such as AWS or GCP
- Strong experience with containerization, such as Docker or Kubernetes
Preferred Qualifications
* Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 7+ years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on large-scale data systems
- Experience with NoSQL databases, such as Cassandra or MongoDB
- Experience with big data processing frameworks, such as Hadoop or Spark
- Experience with data science tools, such as Pandas, NumPy, or R
- Experience with machine learning algorithms and models
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms, such as Google Cloud Dataflow or AWS Glue
