We are now seeking a dedicated and compassionate Customer Care Nurse to join our dynamic team, working remotely to facilitate Short-Term Disability (STD) and Long-Term Disability (LTD) case files.

About the Role

As a Customer Care Nurse at arenaflex, you will play a vital role in our claim intake process, working in a fast-paced incoming call environment where you will handle approximately 35-40 calls per day. Your clinical expertise and exceptional communication skills will enable you to assess, document, and review the medical acuity of claimants' conditions, providing empathy and compassion throughout the intake process. Our team of medical professionals is committed to delivering exceptional customer service, driving profitability, and returning people to work. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide claimants with a clear explanation of the intake and subsequent claims process expectations, ensuring a smooth and transparent experience.
  • Effectively assess, evaluate, and document claimants' medical information to initiate the claim process, reviewing functional limitations or work accommodations as needed.
  • Gather medically diagnosed restrictions and/or limitations for Return To Work expectations, determining the medical complexity and appropriate assignment duration and/or medical milestone for the assigned claim.
  • Accurately enter employee/employer/physician intake information into our claim technology platform, enabling Claims Ability Analysts to facilitate informed claim decisions based on claimants' functional conditions.
  • Communicate complex medical information to claimants in a clear, simple, and concise manner, demonstrating sound medical knowledge and clinical assessment in a time-sensitive claim intake environment.

Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess an active LPN/LVN license (RN licenses will be considered), with a minimum of 12 months of practicing clinical experience and broad spectrum knowledge of anatomy and physiology. Clinical Case Management experience is preferred, and excellent communication skills (both oral and written) are essential. You should also have excellent keyboard/automation skills and be proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Candidates located in the West or Central time zones are preferred.
  • Clinical Case Management experience is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation and Benefits

The annualized base pay range for this role is $63,760 - $95,640, depending on experience and performance. In addition to a competitive salary, arenaflex offers a comprehensive benefits package, including short-term and annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition.
