This is an exceptional opportunity to work with a renowned organization, leveraging your expertise to make a positive impact on education and enjoy the flexibility of a remote work arrangement.Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Puerto Rico Remote Scorer, your primary responsibilities will include:• Scoring assessments for students in Puerto Rico, adhering to the scoring guidelines and rubrics provided by Pearson• Ensuring accuracy and consistency in scoring, meeting productivity and quality targets set by the company• Providing feedback on scoring guidelines and rubrics as needed, contributing to the continuous improvement of our educational materials• Managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines, demonstrating excellent organizational skills• Maintaining a confidential work environment, handling sensitive information with discretion and professionalismEssential QualificationsTo be considered for this role, you must possess:• A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university• Eligibility to work in the United States• Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new software applications• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively educate and provide feedback to students• Availability to work 20-40 hours per week, with a set schedule from 8 AM - 4:30 PM CTPreferred QualificationsWhile not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable:• Teaching experience, particularly in a Puerto Rican educational setting• Previous scoring experience, with a strong understanding of educational assessments and evaluation methods• Experience working with students or in an educational setting, with a passion for education and a commitment to student successTechnical RequirementsTo perform the duties of this role, you will need to meet the following technical requirements:• Windows: 10 or newer, or Mac: Mac OS X 10.11 or newer• A monitor capable of a screen resolution above 1024 x 768• Webcam for video conferencing• Speakers or headphones, as some projects may require the ability to play audio• At least 5 Mbps of download speed and 1.5 Mbps of upload speedCareer Growth and Professional DevelopmentAt Pearson, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
