What You'll Do
As a Senior Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting training sessions for specialists in areas of expertise
- Serving as a mentor to other engineers and providing guidance on complex projects
- Leading project teams and facilitating issue resolution
- Collaborating with manufacturers and regulatory specialists to ensure compliance with industry standards and company manuals
- Developing customized methods and procedures for repairs, modifications, and other maintenance activities
- Staying up-to-date on daily airline activities and identifying areas for improvement
- Examining aircraft and part issues that may cause delays or cancellations, and determining the best course of action
- Providing engineering support as needed to resolve discrepant circumstances and restore aircraft to operational status
- Creating activity plans for fleet and multi-fleet maintenance projects and ensuring timely completion
- Collaborating with other airline divisions to optimize the execution of engineering procedures
- Developing engineering documents to implement specialized methods for repairs, modifications, and other maintenance activities
- Staying current on industry regulations and ensuring that all engineering activities comply with relevant requirements
- Utilizing available resources to enhance technical expertise and practical experience, as well as improving communication skills and time management
What You'll Need for Success
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- A bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field or equivalent experience
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in a related field or 2 years of experience without a degree
- A valid A&P license
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to analyze technical information and make data-driven decisions
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- A willingness to take on new challenges and responsibilities
