Job Summary

We're seeking a highly skilled and empathetic Customer Advocate Phone Specialist to join our remote team in Arizona. As a key member of our customer service team, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional phone support to our healthcare customers, addressing their inquiries, and resolving their concerns in a timely and professional manner. Responsibilities

As a Customer Advocate Phone Specialist, you'll be responsible for:

  • Identifying, researching, processing, resolving, and responding to customer inquiries and correspondence via telephone, written communication, and/or in person.
  • Answering a diverse and high volume of health insurance-related customer calls and correspondence on a daily basis.
  • Meeting quality, quantity, and timeliness standards to achieve individual and department performance goals as defined within the department guidelines.
  • Consulting and coordinating with various internal departments, external plans, providers, businesses, and government agencies to obtain information and ensure resolution of customer inquiries.
  • Documenting and recording facts related to inquiries and correspondence by updating arenaflex files and systems.
  • Demonstrating and maintaining current working knowledge of the required arenaflex systems, procedures, forms, and manuals.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • At least one (1) year of experience in claims examination, health insurance, customer service, call center, medical office, or other healthcare-related field.
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Intermediate PC proficiency.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and active listening skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and privacy.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
