Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Software Engineer at arenaflex, you will be responsible for:
- Designing and developing high-quality, scalable, and secure web and cloud applications using a range of technologies, including Java 8 or later, AWS, and Spring Boot
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements, develop technical solutions, and ensure timely delivery
- Building and maintaining complex software systems, including microservices, APIs, and data pipelines
- Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, including debugging, testing, and deployment
- Participating in code reviews, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices
- Staying up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and arenaflex's technical roadmap
- Mentoring and guiding junior engineers, sharing knowledge and expertise to drive team growth and development
Required Qualifications and Experience
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- At least 5 years of professional experience in software development, with a strong focus on web and cloud applications
- Expertise in Java 8 or later, AWS, and Spring Boot, with experience in microservices, APIs, and data pipelines
- Strong understanding of software design patterns, architecture, and testing methodologies
- Experience with Agile development methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Experience with version control systems, including Git and SVN
- Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices, including CI/CD pipelines and containerization
Preferred Qualifications and Experience
While not required, the following qualifications and experience would be highly desirable:
- Experience with Python or other programming languages
- Experience with Linux systems and containerization
- Familiarity with cloud-based services, including AWS and Azure
- Experience with data analytics and business intelligence tools, including Tableau and Power BI
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices
- Experience with agile project management tools, including Jira and Asana
