Job Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced Remote Customer Service Representative to join our team. As a Member Services Representative, you will be responsible for providing top-notch support to our customers, resolving their queries, and ensuring that their needs are met. Key Responsibilities

  • Complete data access and balancing functions to ensure accurate and efficient processing of customer transactions
  • Coordinate return items with contributors, vendors, the Federal Reserve Bank, and other institutions to resolve any issues promptly
  • Assist different departments with fraud resolution, member inquiries, and related accounting standard ledger balancing to ensure seamless operations
  • Work on member cases and sports assigned to you, following established guidelines and procedures to ensure compliance with NACHA regulations and federal banking laws
  • Process loan payments, multi-account and member deposits, credit card payments, and other checks, including IRA, bankruptcy, and payoff checks
  • Review, examine, and approve Remote Deposit, Mobile, ATM, and other imaged-enabled products to ensure accuracy and efficiency
  • Log, research, and make necessary GL, account changes, and/or returns to maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Process Stop Pays and Check Batching to prevent any unauthorized transactions
  • Complete daily balancing and department closing to ensure that all transactions are accurately processed and recorded
  • Obtain information from contributors for timely and accurate processing of international and domestic fund transfer requests
  • Research and confirm incoming and outgoing fund transfer information to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Communicate with vendors to process fund transfers efficiently and effectively
  • Understand and be familiar with outgoing and incoming fund transfer laws and regulations to ensure compliance and avoid any potential risks
  • Deposit check returns, research member bad checks on draft changes, process member checks, confirm contributors for outgoing fund transfers, and Federal Reserve verifying and releasing fund transfers
  • Complete daily processing of workflows associated with late returns, supply of receipts, foreign collections, and legal fees

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A high school diploma or GED
  • Intermediate Excel and Word skills
  • Previous customer/member service experience (preferred)
  • Previous banking or Credit Union experience (preferred)
  • Episys/Symitar and processing wires experience (preferred)
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office software (e.g., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work prolonged hours in support of business needs
  • Ability to exercise excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple tasks, and function as an integral part of a team
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations and analyze data
  • Ability to effectively prioritize work and meet deadlines under high-volume pressure
  • Ability to cross-train and perform any role assigned within the department
  • Ability to engage professionally with all personnel and contributors
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
  • Ability to self-motivate with strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits
