Job Responsibilities
As a Senior Data Scientist, you will be responsible for providing data analysis and modeling services to support business decision making. Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and maintaining statistical models and machine learning algorithms to support business decision making
- Analyzing large datasets to identify trends and patterns that can inform business decisions
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement data-driven solutions
- Communicating complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders
- Staying up-to-date with the latest developments in data science and machine learning
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and maintain statistical models and machine learning algorithms to support business decision making
- Analyze large datasets to identify trends and patterns that can inform business decisions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement data-driven solutions
- Communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in data science and machine learning
Essential Qualifications:
* Postgraduate education (PhD or ABD) in a quantitative field such as statistics, mathematics, or computer science
- Experience with statistical modeling and machine learning algorithms
- Strong programming skills in languages such as R, Python, or Julia
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with software engineering and formal high-level software engineering coursework
- 2+ years of professional experience in a data science or related field
- 1+ years of experience in the airline industry
- Experience with Julia programming language
- Knowledge of arenaflex/industry data sources
- Organized programming for large-scale computer models
