About the Role

As a Customer Engineer - Exchange, you'll be a key technical resource for our enterprise clients in the legacy space. Your primary focus will be on delivering proactive services such as education workshops, assessments, and expert guidance. You'll have the opportunity to:

  • Preview new technology: Stay ahead of the curve and learn how to make the most of the latest innovations in the industry.
  • Train and share expertise: Visit customers to train them and share your knowledge and experience in Exchange server architecture, troubleshooting, and design.
  • Build strong customer relationships: Develop strategic ongoing relationships with clients, gain trust and respect, and ensure deliveries align with customer projects and milestones.
  • Gain access to expertise: Leverage the support of our consulting practice and product groups to continually learn and grow professionally.
  • Analyze problems: Use your technical skills to identify and resolve complex issues, and maintain, and extend accreditations and certifications.
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills: Develop strategic ongoing customer relationships, gain trust and respect for clients, and possess strong technical writing, presentation, and training skills.

Required Experience

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Deep understanding of Exchange server architecture: Experience with Exchange server 2010, 2013, 2016, and Exchange Online.
  • Deep troubleshooting skills: Ability to troubleshoot Exchange server 2010, 2013, 2016, and Exchange Online.
  • Designing and implementing services: Experience with designing and implementing services such as High availability (DAG), Public Folders, Mail Flow, Disaster Recovery, Managed Availability, Messaging Policies, Compliance, Configuring Reporting & Logging, Mailbox migrations both on-prem and cloud.
  • Experience in assessing Exchange Servers: Ability to assess Exchange Servers, health checks of existing solutions, provide best practice recommendations, guidance on clients, and support customers on their operations in Exchange environments.
  • Experience with Exchange migrations, upgrades, and optimizations: Proven track record in successfully planning, deploying, operating, and optimizing on-premises environments.
  • Deep understanding of SMTP: Experience with SMTP and Failover Clustering.
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting: Ability to write and execute PowerShell scripts.
  • Proven track record: Demonstrated success in planning, deploying, operating, and optimizing on-premises environments.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is between $95,000- $125,000 Annually, depending on factors such as geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. arenaflex offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:
