Key Responsibilities

As a Pharmacy Benefits Advocate, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Handling inbound and outbound calls from members, providers, physicians, and internal and external clients related to pharmacy benefits
  • Answering questions and resolving issues related to pharmacy benefits, while maintaining productivity standards and performance guarantees
  • Collaborating with other operational departments to research and resolve mail order and claims issues
  • Maintaining accurate and complete documentation of all inquiries to continuously improve the customer service process and reduce potential legal concerns
  • Identifying and escalating concerns received from patients and/or clients in a prudent manner to ensure corrective action is pursued and expedited
  • Adhering to quality and production standards while complying with all applicable company, state, and federal safety regulations
  • Performing other duties as needed to support the team and achieve business objectives

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 1 year of experience in a call center environment (preferably in customer service)
  • 1 year of experience in customer service (preferably in a healthcare setting)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet productivity standards
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to maintain accurate and complete documentation
  • Familiarity with computerized systems and software applications
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience working in a healthcare setting

  • Familiarity with pharmacy benefits and healthcare regulations
  • Certification in customer service or a related field
  • Experience working in a remote or virtual environment
