Key Responsibilities:

Customer Experience:
+ Engage with patients and customers, providing a warm and welcoming experience + Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive experience + Model and share customer service best practices with team members to deliver exceptional care + Utilize interpersonal skills, such as greeting, eye contact, and courtesy, to build strong relationships
Operations:
+ Provide fast, friendly, and efficient service to customers + Recommend items for sale and suggest trade-up and/or companion items + Register customer purchases, collect cash, and distribute change as requested + Process voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges as needed + Maintain a clean and well-merchandised store environment + Perform duties as assigned by Pharmacy Manager, Staff Pharmacist, and Store Manager
Pharmacy Support:
+ Assist pharmacists in scheduling and maintaining workflow + Utilize pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug information, ensuring accuracy + Fill prescriptions by retrieving, counting, and pouring pharmaceutical drugs + Verify medicine is correct and check for possible interactions + Report prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty and adhere to company policies and procedures
Additional Responsibilities:
+ Handle telephone calls that do not require personal attention of the pharmacist + Process manual claims for third-party program prescription services + Assist with inventory management activities, such as ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals + Maintain knowledge of company asset protection techniques and file claims for warehouse overages, shortages, or damaged goods + Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products + Construct and maintain displays, including promotional, seasonal, and sale merchandise + Assist with separation of food items and product placement as specified by policies/procedures
Essential Qualifications:
* High school diploma or equivalent required; pharmacy technician certification (PTCB) or state required certification/registration a plus
- 1-2 years of experience in a pharmacy or customer service role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods
Preferred Qualifications:
* PTCB certification or state required certification/registration
- Experience with pharmacy systems and equipment
- Knowledge of pharmacy laws and regulations
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
