Job Summary
We're looking for a highly skilled and experienced full stack data engineer to join our team. As a data engineer at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining large-scale distributed systems that support our data-driven business. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes, architect scalable systems, and collaborate with open-source communities to shape the future of data engineering.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and develop large-scale distributed systems that support our data-driven business
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes and architect scalable systems
- Work with open-source communities to shape the future of data engineering and contribute to arenaflex's OSS projects
- Build and maintain high-impact systems, controls, and association structures that support our data systems at scale
- Develop and implement data pipelines, ETL processes, and data quality tools to support our data-driven business
- Work with our data science team to develop and implement machine learning models and algorithms
- Collaborate with our engineering teams to develop and implement new features and functionality
- Participate in code reviews, design reviews, and technical discussions to ensure high-quality code and architecture
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, and apply this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement in our data engineering practices
Essential Qualifications
* 2+ years of experience building large-scale distributed systems components or applications
- Strong understanding of data engineering principles, including data modeling, data warehousing, and data governance
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms, such as AWS or GCP
- Proficiency in programming languages, including Java, Python, or other object-oriented languages
- Strong understanding of data processing frameworks, including Apache Kafka, Apache Spark, and Apache Flink
- Experience with data storage systems, including relational databases, NoSQL databases, and data warehouses
- Strong understanding of data quality, data governance, and data security principles
- Experience with DevOps practices, including continuous integration, continuous deployment, and continuous monitoring
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with big data technologies, including Hadoop, Spark, and NoSQL databases
- Experience with data science tools, including Python, R, and SQL
- Experience with machine learning frameworks, including TensorFlow, PyTorch, and scikit-learn
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms, including AWS Lake Formation and GCP BigQuery
- Experience with data governance and data quality tools, including Apache Atlas and Apache Ranger
- Experience with DevOps tools, including Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes
