Job Overview

The Senior Cloud Engineer will be responsible for providing expertise and thought leadership in cloud identity access management and authentication strategies. As a key member of the Enterprise Cloud Infrastructure Enablement and Procedure team, you will play a critical role in onboarding various data utilization and business intelligence tools into Google Cloud. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring the security and integrity of cloud infrastructure, and your contributions will have a direct impact on the success of arenaflex's cloud initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expertise on device access and authentication components as part of overall cloud tool enablement efforts
• Develop and propose cloud architecture solution ideas connected with cloud tool enablement, covering Google Cloud access and authentication best practices
• Be a subject matter expert in Google Cloud and Microsoft Azure Cloud with respect to access and authentication capabilities
• Collaborate and work with the enterprise cloud architecture, IAM, and authentication teams to ensure proposed solutions meet existing policy requirements and best practices
• Stay up-to-date with emerging data technologies, trends, and best practices, and make recommendations for their adoption within the organization's cloud tool environment
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior colleagues, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning

Required Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

• 3+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering, preferably in a senior capacity with expertise in Identity Access Management and Authentication components
• 3+ years of experience working in public cloud environments, Google Cloud Platform/Azure, and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
• A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in computer science, data science, or a related field; a graduate degree is preferred

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable:

• Google Cloud Partner or Professional Certification
• In-depth knowledge of IAM and authentication best practices in Google Cloud, including between cloud device merchants and public clouds
• Solid understanding of best practices and available techniques related to IAM, authentication, and network transaction within GCP and across public clouds
• Ability to create clear and concise architecture idea diagrams that are easy to communicate and understand
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to provide cutting-edge cloud engineering solutions for cloud tools
• Excellent overall communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
