Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Pharmacy Customer Service Representative to join our remote team. As a Pharmacy Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for answering questions and handling problems regarding pharmacy benefits, providers, or claim issues. You will also be responsible for handling inbound calls and making outbound calls to follow up with members, providers, and pharmacies as necessary. Key Responsibilities

As a Pharmacy Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for:

  • Answering questions and handling problems regarding pharmacy benefits, providers, or claim issues
  • Handling inbound calls and making outbound calls to follow up with members, providers, and pharmacies as necessary
  • Spending approximately 90% of your time on the phones and providing empathetic customer service
  • Seeking approval for overrides and prior authorizations as needed and entering them into the claims system
  • Monitoring pharmacy claims processing and completing data entry of member records
  • Other duties or special projects may be assigned as necessary

Essential Qualifications

To be successful as a Pharmacy Customer Service Representative, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical healthcare industry
  • A pharmacy technician certification is highly preferred (inactive also applies)
  • 1+ year(s) of PBM or health benefits experience
  • Experience in working in a high-volume call center is highly preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are highly preferred:

  • 2+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical healthcare industry
  • Experience in working with electronic health records (EHRs) and claims processing systems
  • Strong knowledge of pharmacy benefits and claims processing
  • Experience in working in a fast-paced call center environment

  • Competitive hourly rate of $18.50-$19.50 per hour (BOE)
  • $1 per hour shift differential for overnight shifts
