As Director of Product - Community, You will focus on the anime community and all the ways they can grow and express their fandom in our products. You will help define the strategy and roadmap for community and fan-driven discovery experiences. Further, you will ensure that the Crunchyroll experience is inclusive of all anime fans, ensuring that we provide an uplevelled experience across all devices and in all the places our fans engage with Crunchyroll.
- Community Strategy: Lead the development of a comprehensive community and fan-focussed strategy for discovery and fandom expression.
- Inclusion: Build a deeper understanding of our fans, their segments, and how we can create the most inclusive product possible.
- Collaboration: Work with other product leaders and engineering, data science, programming, marketing, legal, and compliance teams to ensure that we develop high quality, high trust products.
- Experienced Product Leader: Bachelor's degree (or higher) with 12+ years in product management and 5+ years of experience building, leading, and motivating product management teams in a crossfunctional environment.
- Established Practitioner: experience in the domains relevant to this role.
- Player Coach: in this role, you will need to operate as both a senior individual contributor and people leader.
- Trusted Collaborator: in this role, you'll partner with a variety of teams across the company. You'll need the ability to build deep and trusted relationships with these teams and work together in service of important shared priorities.
- Strategic Thinker: You'll need to understand the landscape in which we're operating and make frequent tradeoffs and decisions around where to invest time and resources. You should demonstrate the ability to think 18+ months out, while also demonstrating the ability to execute on a quarterly basis.
- Accomplished Communicator: You'll communicate your strategy and plans to executive audiences and to the company, and need the ability to communicate clearly and convincingly with a wide range of audiences.
