Job Summary

As a Remote Medical Customer Service Specialist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients and families while handling medical revenue cycle-related tasks. This is a fully remote opportunity, and you will work closely with our supervisor to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

* Review and identify issues from calls into the telephony system in a timely manner (50%)

• Maintain a working knowledge of workflow systems to properly assign follow-up dates, department requests, and notate appropriately (10%)
• Ensure all calls within business hours are answered and handled appropriately while providing exceptionally high customer service to callers within company guidelines (10%)
• Perform payment transactions and request payment from accounts reflecting a balance (10%)
• Assist with clerical duties as needed, such as email, facsimile, etc. (10%)
• Requires close supervision and guidance from the supervisor (10%)

Essential Qualifications

* 1+ years of medical revenue cycle experience

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
• Proficiency in workflow systems and software applications
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred

Preferred Qualifications

* 2+ years of medical revenue cycle experience

• Experience working in a remote or virtual environment
• Certification in medical revenue cycle or related field (e.g., CPC, CMRS)

Skills and Competencies

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
