Key Responsibilities
As a Data Analyst & Online Chat Assistant, your key responsibilities will include:
- Developing and maintaining data pipelines to support business operations
- Creating data-driven reports and dashboards using Power BI and Excel
- Collaborating with our monitoring and business analyst teams to understand business needs and obtain sign-offs for reporting requirements
- Partnering with IT and bachelor's degree's to discover, analyze, and obtain new data variables (data mining)
- Evaluating large datasets to identify relevant patterns and provide actionable insights
- Validating data for formality and resolving discrepancies
- Researching and remediating data errors
- Participating in the Data Governance course by updating the data dictionary and plan & methods
- Examining and validating metrics to ensure effectiveness and providing reviews to team leaders on areas that require attention
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 2 years of experience in comprehensive data analysis
- Strong experience working with Power BI, including Dimensions, Solutions, Filters, Computed Area, makeovers, parameters, conditional formatting, DAX queries, Interactions, etc.
- Knowledge of DAX, SQL, and M Code
- Experience with ETL tools such as SSIS, PowerBI Dataflows, or other Big Data integrations
- Strong data modeling experience using star schema or other procedures
- Problem-solving skills with statistical evaluation and large data collections
- Experience with SSMS (SQL Server Management Studio), Power BI, and Power Query
- Experience with Smartsheets
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications would be beneficial:
- Experience with statistical analysis and machine learning
- Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau or QlikView
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure
- Certification in data analysis or a related field
