The Role

As an Online Chat Specialist, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional customer support to visitors on our clients' websites. You'll be the first point of contact for many of our customers, and your ability to resolve issues quickly and efficiently will make a significant impact on their overall experience. You'll work closely with our Online Chat Manager to ensure that all customer interactions are handled professionally and effectively.

Key Responsibilities

* Answer incoming customer live chats regarding website navigation issues, service questions, and general client concerns

  • Evaluate customer interactions and elevate issues to Online Chat Manager when appropriate
  • Create relationships with new customers to better understand and achieve their needs
  • Respond to customer questions, inquiries, requests, and problems accurately
  • Promote interest in client products and services
  • Continually portray and project a positive and professional image
  • Provide administrative support to the customer service team
  • May assist with overflow work and other duties as needed

Essential Qualifications

* Strong work ethic with the ability to work well both independently and within the context of a larger team-oriented environment

  • PC keyboarding and internet experience needed
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including written and verbal
  • Upbeat positive attitude and professional demeanor
  • Articulate and well-accustomed to a client-facing role
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Basic technical skills (able to navigate through smartphone and computer applications)

Preferred Qualifications

* The ability to compose professional emails

  • Experience working in a customer-facing role
  • Familiarity with online chat software and customer support platforms
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically
