Digital Marketing Director

Role Overview The Director of Digital & Data-Driven Marketing provides strategic direction for digital channels and customer database marketing across the full customer lifecycle. This leader designs and oversees integrated, multi-channel programs that connect audiences to the brand through relevant, timely, and personalized experiences. The role combines strategic vision with hands-on leadership. You’ll guide a specialized team while partnering closely with internal stakeholders to deliver measurable results across digital, social, web, video, email, and SMS platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Leadership
- Define and evolve enterprise-level digital and database marketing strategies aligned with business objectives
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of digital, social, and lifecycle marketing specialists
- Foster collaboration across marketing, communications, IT, analytics, and external partners
Digital & Social Platforms
- Set direction for digital communications and social media, including audience growth, content planning, and multi-platform distribution
- Oversee governance, performance, and brand alignment across all owned digital and social channels
- Build and manage paid and organic content strategies that drive engagement and support key initiatives
Web, UX & Performance
- Direct the development and ongoing management of websites, ensuring strong performance, accessibility, and user experience
- Partner with technology teams to enhance UX/UI, site functionality, and visual consistency
- Lead audits and optimization efforts related to SEO, content quality, navigation, and conversion paths
Video, Email & Text Marketing
- Establish and manage an enterprise video strategy from concept through distribution
- Oversee email and SMS programs, including strategy, execution, testing, and measurement
- Manage marketing databases to support segmentation, personalization, automation, and lifecycle journeys
Insights, Innovation & Partnerships
- Oversee competitive analysis, performance reporting, and reputation monitoring dashboards
- Build relationships with digital experts, platform partners, and industry leaders
- Stay current on emerging platforms, tools, and best practices to continuously evolve strategy
- Carry out additional responsibilities as needed and ensure adherence to all organizational policies and standards
Qualifications & Experience
- 10+ years of experience in marketing, communications, or a related discipline
- 5+ years leading and developing high-performing teams
- Deep expertise in digital marketing, social media, analytics, and performance optimization
- Technical familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, technical SEO, UX/UI principles, and SEM
- Hands-on experience with analytics and marketing platforms such as Google Analytics 360, Adobe Analytics, and Salesforce Marketing Cloud
Location & Travel This role requires regular presence at the Long Island City office. Candidates must be willing to travel on a consistent basis to support in-person collaboration. Compensation & Benefits
- Annual salary range: $116,100 – $214,700, depending on experience and qualifications
- Comprehensive benefits package including medical coverage, retirement and stock purchase plans, paid time off, holidays, and tuition assistance
- Flexible work arrangements may include remote, hybrid, field, or office-based schedules, depending on role requirements
- Total compensation may also include incentive programs, subject to eligibility
