Job Summary
As a Data Item Staff at arenaflex, you'll play a critical role in supporting our business operations by creating, maintaining, and analyzing data to drive business insights and decision-making. You'll work closely with our technology team to develop and implement data-driven solutions, ensuring that our business needs are met and our data storage facilities are optimized. Key Responsibilities
As a Data Item Staff at arenaflex, your key responsibilities will include:
- Creating new, tweaking existing, and executing ad-hoc reporting in support of business procedures and data-driven decision-making
- Developing relevant dashboards on Power BI and Excel to provide business insights and drive decision-making
- Creating robust Data Quality specifications and controls to ensure data integrity and accessibility
- Handling and producing new records pipelines from source devices to the Data Warehouse
- Working closely with Monitoring and Business Analysts to identify business requirements, maintain complete documentation, and obtain business sign-offs for all reporting requirements
- Generating, sustaining, and cultivating scalable data pipelines and data design
- Utilizing data storytelling principles to create clear and impactful data visualizations using Power BI
- Aiding in the automation of existing business procedures and improving exception-based reporting
- Collaborating with IT and BA's to investigate, research, and obtain new data variables (data exploration)
- Analyzing large datasets to identify meaningful patterns that provide actionable results
- Evaluating data acquired from multiple sources and resolving discrepancies
- Validating data for accuracy by confirming against standards
- Researching data errors and remediating poor data
- Joining the Data Governance plan by updating the data dictionary and plan & procedures
- Analyzing and affirming metrics are effective and providing comments to division innovators of styles that require attention
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- 2+ years of experience in in-depth data analysis
- Solid experience working with Power BI, including creating and managing dashboards, reports, and data visualizations
- Knowledge of DAX, SQL, and M Code
- Skillful in SQL, able to create complex SQL to generate files and analytics
- Experience with ETL tools, including SSIS, PowerBI Dataflows, or other Big Data integrations
- Solid data modeling experience using star schema or other methods
- Problem-solving skills through statistical analysis with large data sets
- Expertise with SSMS (SQL Server Management Studio), Power BI, and Power Query
- Familiarity with Smartsheets
- Strong effort in the progression and timely completion of projects and deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications would be highly desirable:
- Experience working with cloud-based data storage solutions
- Knowledge of data governance principles and best practices
- Familiarity with data visualization tools, such as Tableau or QlikView
- Experience with data quality and data validation techniques
- Strong understanding of data security and compliance regulations
