Responsibilities

As a Data Entry Operator at arenaflex, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our data. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Transferring data from paper formats into computer files or database systems using keyboards, data recorders, or optical scanners
  • Typing in data provided directly from customers with precision and speed
  • Creating spreadsheets with large numbers of figures without errors, utilizing your expertise in MS Office Word and Excel
  • Verifying data by comparing it to source documents, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
  • Updating existing data to reflect changes and additions
  • Retrieving data from the database or electronic files as requested by team members
  • Performing regular backups to ensure data preservation and prevent loss
  • Sorting and organizing paperwork after entering data to maintain a clutter-free workspace

Requirements and Skills

To succeed in this role, you'll need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a data entry clerk, with a strong track record of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Fast typing skills, with knowledge of the touch typing system strongly preferred
  • Excellent knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets, including MS Office Word and Excel
  • Working knowledge of office equipment and computer hardware and peripheral devices
  • Basic understanding of databases and data management principles
  • Good command of English, both oral and written, with excellent customer service skills
  • Great attention to detail, with a keen eye for accuracy and precision
  • High school degree or equivalent, with a strong foundation in mathematics and computer skills
