#20540 - Test Automation Specialist
About the position We're seeking a Test Automation Specialist to join our growing team in the United States. Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled Test Automation Specialist with strong experience in API and UI automation. The ideal candidate is proficient in Java/JavaScript/TypeScript and has hands-on experience with modern testing frameworks, REST API testing, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for RESTful APIs and web applications.
- Perform API testing using tools like REST-assured, SuperTest, Postman.
- Implement automation frameworks using Cypress, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Java.
- Develop BDD test scenarios using Cucumber/Gherkin.
- Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Leverage cloud platforms and device farms for testing: AWS, Azure, GCP, BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, AWS Device Farm.
- (Optional/Good-to-Have) Contribute to mobile automation using Appium.
- (Optional/Good-to-Have) Work with KafkaJS implementations and Test Containers for integration testing.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
- Hands-on experience with Cypress for API/UI automation.
- Solid experience with REST API testing (REST-assured, SuperTest, Postman).
- Familiarity with JavaScript testing frameworks: Playwright, Puppeteer, Jest, Mocha, Chai.
- Experience with BDD frameworks (Cucumber, Gherkin syntax).
- Strong version control knowledge (Git, Git Flow).
Nice-to-haves
- Exposure to KafkaJS and Test Containers.
- Mobile automation using Appium.
- Experience with cloud-based testing platforms and device farms: AWS Device Farm, BrowserStack, Sauce Labs.
- Experience working in CI/CD pipelines: Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or Harness.
