DevOps Engineer
OXARO Inc. is a dynamic and fast-growing technology consulting firm at the forefront of digital transformation within the Canadian public sector. The role involves redefining managed services for government by applying modern software development practices to infrastructure and building secure, scalable environments in Azure using infrastructure-as-code.
Responsibilities
- Design and deploy cloud infrastructure using Terraform (or OpenTofu) and Ansible
- Manage Azure IaaS and PaaS resources (VMs, scale sets, SQL databases, storage accounts)
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support DevOps workflows
- Develop and optimize reusable infrastructure modules
- Monitor systems and participate in the team’s on-call rotation
- Support secure, scalable application deployments in Azure
Skills
- Security Clearance: Secret (or eligibility to obtain)
- Design and deploy cloud infrastructure using Terraform (or OpenTofu) and Ansible
- Manage Azure IaaS and PaaS resources (VMs, scale sets, SQL databases, storage accounts)
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support DevOps workflows
- Develop and optimize reusable infrastructure modules
- Monitor systems and participate in the team's on-call rotation
- Support secure, scalable application deployments in Azure
- Experience or a strong desire to learn Infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, OpenTofu, Ansible)
- Experience or a strong desire to learn Cloud platforms (Azure preferred; GCP or AWS also valuable)
- Experience or a strong desire to learn CI/CD and DevOps practices
- Experience or a strong desire to learn Linux/macOS environments
- Experience or a strong desire to learn Containerization (Docker, Podman) and orchestration (Kubernetes)
- Experience or a strong desire to learn a practical mindset toward automation - automate what makes sense, and do it well
