Full-Time Staff Accountant

MWM DesignGroup is a leading design firm in Austin, seeking a full-time Staff Accountant to join their team. The role involves key responsibilities in accounts payable and receivable support, maintaining the corporate credit card program, and assisting with various accounting tasks.

Responsibilities

• Apply deposits to client invoices and research discrepancies
• Assist with collections and AR reporting for Management
• Review and process vendor invoices and employee expense reimbursements
• Prepare AP reports and disbursements on a bi-weekly basis
• Maintain multiple shared email inboxes
• Conduct credit card reconciliations; assist with bank reconciliations
• Assist in identifying and/or developing efficient accounting processes, policies, and procedures
• Other general accounting tasks/projects as assigned

Skills

• Associate's degree in accounting
• Accounting experience (1-2 years)
• Microsoft Office Suite (1-2 years)
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles
• Excellent time management, communication, and collaboration skills
• High attention to detail with the ability to work both independently and with a team
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work 40 hours per week
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
• AEC experience
