The Role
As a Content Tagger and Data Entry Specialist, you'll be responsible for:
- Ensuring accurate and comprehensive metadata for our vast library of content
- Enhancing the viewer experience on the arenaflex platform
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve metadata-related issues
- Developing and maintaining metadata standards and best practices
- Analyzing data to identify trends and areas for improvement
- Providing exceptional customer service to arenaflex members
The Manipulate Aircraft
Our Open Connect platform is a complex system that requires the expertise of a global team representing a diverse set of skills, backgrounds, cultures, and personalities. We're looking to add to the engineering group responsible for building the Open Connect Manipulate Aircraft, which includes:
- Cloud microservices that customers interact with directly after pressing 'Play'
- Systems for ensuring seamless and resilient streaming experiences
- Services critical to making cloud video games possible
- Load-balancing algorithms for optimizing hardware utilization
Key Challenges
We're constantly seeking to answer questions like:
- How can we design our systems to react to failure, internet traffic shifts, and other real-time adjustments?
- How do we steer traffic for live streaming over the backbone?
- How can we quality-assure the most popular content to improve the viewer experience?
- What is the optimal way to ingest petabytes of content into our machines to optimize throughput?
- How should we design our streaming hardware given customer behavior?
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- 3+ years of software development or engineering experience with a modern programming language
- Experience in a microservices environment
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Familiarity with metadata standards and best practices
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with cloud-based platforms and services
- Knowledge of load-balancing algorithms and hardware optimization
- Familiarity with data analysis and visualization tools
