About the Role
As an Area Manager at arenaflex, you'll play a key role in leading our hourly workforce and driving business success. You'll be responsible for engaging your team during their shifts to maintain the highest levels of safety, quality, attendance, and performance. You'll also collaborate with all support teams, including Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, and Human Resources, to develop plans to meet business objectives.
Key Responsibilities and Job Elements
* Support, mentor, and motivate your hourly workforce to achieve exceptional performance and customer satisfaction
- Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises to ensure seamless operations
- Collaborate with support teams to develop plans to meet business objectives and drive growth
- Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach to perform job duties
- Stand/walk for up to 12 hours during shifts in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Work in an environment where the noise level varies and can be loud
- Work in an environment that is subject to variable temperatures and weather (delivery stations include outside loading departments)
- Continuously climb and descend stairs (applies to sites with stairs)
Essential Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred
- 1-2 years of experience in operations leadership or a related field
- Proven track record of success in leading teams and driving business results
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience working in a warehouse or distribution center environment
- Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures
- Experience working with hourly workforce and unionized environments
- Strong understanding of customer service principles and practices
- Experience working in a team environment and collaborating with cross-functional teams
