Job Summary

As a Customer Service Representative on our Medicare team, you'll play a critical role in handling claims, benefits, enrollment, member portal, ID cards, and other customer inquiries. Your primary responsibility will be to work with customers to resolve problems, provide empathetic support, and maintain a 5-star service standard. This is a dynamic role that requires flexibility, strong communication skills, and a customer-centric approach.

Key Responsibilities

* Handle inbound calls from Medicare customers, addressing their concerns and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner

  • Provide empathetic support and guidance to customers, using active listening skills to understand their needs and concerns
  • Navigate through multiple systems to access customer information, resolve issues, and provide accurate solutions
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve complex customer issues and escalate concerns as needed
  • Meet or exceed performance metrics, including call handling times, first-call resolution rates, and customer satisfaction scores
  • Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance your skills and knowledge

Essential Qualifications

* High school diploma or equivalent required; 2+ years of customer service experience in a call center environment preferred

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly communicate complex messages over the phone
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and resolve customer issues efficiently
  • Empathy and a customer-centric approach, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences
  • Ability to navigate through multiple systems, including CRM software and other technical tools
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple customer interactions simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications

* Healthcare industry experience, with a focus on Medicare or insurance-related services

  • Previous experience in a call center environment, with a strong understanding of customer service principles and practices
  • Medical background or experience in a related field
  • Strong knowledge of Medicare regulations and policies
  • Experience with CRM software and other technical tools
