Key Responsibilities

  • Verifies and logs receipt of data, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Transcribes source data into the required electronic format, utilizing word processing, spreadsheet, database, or other computer software.
  • Transfers information from paper formats into computer files using keyboards, data recorders, or optical scanners, maintaining high levels of productivity and quality.
  • Performs high-volume data entry, verifying the integrity of data by comparing it to source documents and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Maintains a filing system, protecting confidential customer information and ensuring compliance with department standards.
  • Performs regular backups to ensure data preservation and responds to requests to retrieve data from the database or electronic filing system.
  • Utilizes basic office equipment, such as photocopy machines and facsimile machines, and completes additional assigned tasks as required.
  • Prepares, compiles, and sorts documents for data entry, demonstrating excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Essential Qualifications

  • Proven data entry work experience, as a Data Entry Operator or Office Clerk, with a strong understanding of data management principles and practices.
  • Experience with MS Office and data programs, including word processing, spreadsheet, and database software.
  • Familiarity with administrative duties, including filing, record-keeping, and data entry.
  • Experience using office equipment, such as fax machines, scanners, and photocopy machines.
  • Typing speed and accuracy, with excellent knowledge of correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
  • Attention to detail, confidentiality, and organization skills, with the ability to stay focused on assigned tasks and meet department standards.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Data Entry Specialist or similar position, with a strong track record of accuracy and productivity.
