Job Summary

As a Remote Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional patient service, collecting payments, and resolving account discrepancies in a virtual environment. You'll work closely with our team leads, management, and clients to ensure patient satisfaction and resolve any disputes that may arise. Key Responsibilities

* Provide exceptional patient service in the name of our clients, ensuring a positive and empathetic experience for all interactions

  • Contact patients via telephone to collect payment on medical bills, negotiate payment arrangements, and set up payment plans as needed
  • Communicate accurate and clear information to patients, addressing any questions or concerns they may have
  • Review patient accounts, document interactions, and gather feedback to improve our services
  • Negotiate reasonable and appropriate payments with customers, taking into account their financial situations and needs
  • Set up patient payments via check, electronic transfer, or credit card, ensuring timely and secure transactions
  • Stay up-to-date with all policies and procedures, adhering to our high standards of confidentiality and integrity
  • Meet or exceed established goals, consistently delivering high-quality service and results
  • Collaborate with team leads, management, and clients to resolve disputes and ensure patient satisfaction
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management, contributing to the growth and success of our team

Essential Qualifications

* Customer service experience, preferably in a medical billing or healthcare revenue cycle setting

  • High school diploma or General Education Development (GED) Certificate required; one to two years of college preferred
  • Basic computer skills necessary, with the ability to learn and adapt to new technologies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong focus on customer-centricity
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced virtual environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities
  • Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills, with a focus on resolving disputes and ensuring patient satisfaction

Preferred Qualifications

* Prior experience in medical billing or healthcare revenue cycle management

  • Strong knowledge of medical billing procedures and regulations
  • Experience working with electronic health records (EHRs) and other healthcare software systems
  • Certification in medical billing or a related field (e.g., CPC, CMC, or CMRS)
