Job Summary

As a Full Stack Pharmacy Technician at arenaflex, you will be responsible for assisting pharmacists in the exercise of pharmacy, under direct supervision, in accordance with national, federal, and agency policy. You will perform duties such as using pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug information, filling prescriptions by retrieving, counting, and pouring pharmaceutical tablets, verifying medication is accurate, and checking for potential interactions. You will also assist pharmacists in scheduling and maintaining work flow, report prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty, and adhere to company rules and procedures regarding pharmacy errors and the quality improvement program.

Key Responsibilities

* Assist pharmacists in the exercise of pharmacy, under direct supervision, in accordance with national, federal, and agency policy

• Use pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug information and process prescriptions
• Fill prescriptions by retrieving, counting, and pouring pharmaceutical tablets, verifying medication is accurate, and checking for potential interactions
• Assist pharmacists in scheduling and maintaining work flow
• Report prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty and adhere to company rules and procedures regarding pharmacy errors and the quality improvement program
• Model and provide a unique and delightful customer experience
• Engage customers and patients by greeting them and providing assistance with services and products
• Resolve customer issues and answer inquiries to ensure a superior customer experience
• Develop strong relationships with most valuable customers
• Perform duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager, personnel Pharmacist, and Store Supervisor

Education & Personal Development

* Earn and maintain PTCB certification through the arenaflex Pharmacy Technician training program and/or state required certification/registration

• Attend training and complete PPLs requested by manager and acquire continuing education credit
• Maintain expertise and skill in healthcare and pharmacy, including latest information and developments
• Through completion of the arenaflex pharmacy technician apprenticeship program, experience qualifies for 8 (8) college credit hours as recognized by the American Council on Education (ACE)

Basic Qualifications

* Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico)

• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time

Preferred Qualifications

* Choose to have six months of experience in a retail setting

• Choose to have previous work experience with arenaflex
• Choose to have desirable math skills to fill prescriptions accurately, including counting, measuring, and weighing medications
• Choose to have correct computer skills
• Choose to have knowledge of store inventory management
• Prefer PTCB certification
