As a Healthcare Patient Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, you'll play a critical role in delivering exceptional customer service to our patients. You'll be responsible for answering patient calls regarding EOBs and research balances, managing patient refunds, and processing patient payments. Key Responsibilities

* Answer patient calls regarding EOBs and research balances

  • Manage patient refunds
  • Process patient payments
  • Provide a positive customer service experience to patients
  • Consistently demonstrate extensive attention to detail, organization, and multi-tasking skills
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve patient inquiries and issues

Requirements

* A minimum of one year of experience in medical billing and collections required

  • Current knowledge of medical billing and reimbursement for commercial insurance, Medicaid, and Medicare
  • Thorough understanding of EOBs and the ability to effectively communicate by phone and in writing with patients
  • Self-motivated, multitasking, and a team player
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines

Essential Qualifications

* High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., healthcare administration, business, or communications) preferred
  • Current knowledge of medical billing and reimbursement regulations and guidelines
  • Experience working with electronic health records (EHRs) and practice management systems (PMS)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience working in a revenue cycle management or medical billing environment

  • Certification in medical billing or coding (e.g., CPC, CCS-P, or CMAS)
  • Experience working with patients and families in a healthcare setting
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
