Job Overview

In this full-time position, you will be responsible for performing data entry tasks, handling customer inquiries, and providing support to our clients. As a call center representative, you will work under direct supervision, adhering to established guidelines and procedures, and utilizing our pharmacy systems to retrieve patient and medication information. Your duties may vary depending on the assigned department, but your primary goal will be to deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring that our clients receive the best possible experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize arenaflex's data entry procedures and rules to process new patient enrollments, entering information into the appropriate system.
  • Handle patient medication requests, entering refill orders for processing, and investigating missing medication data.
  • Decipher medical abbreviations (SIG codes) and resolve all data entry-related exceptions.
  • Communicate with patients (inbound calls, visits, messages) and make outbound calls to prescribers and patients as necessary.
  • Resolve Third-Party Rejections by inspecting, gathering information, making adjustments, and resubmitting for processing according to individual plan requirements.
  • Make phone calls to guarantors and others to acquire information, obtain override approval, or otherwise resolve Third-Party Rejections.
  • Provide support to pharmacists, both those in the office and those in different locations, and escalate issues to senior-level staff as appropriate.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Basic level computer skills (e.g., starting and shutting down a computer, using a mouse to point and click, starting and closing programs, switching between applications, saving files, printing reports, and accessing information online).
  • Basic web browser skills, including opening a browser, typing in URLs, using a search engine, bookmarking a site, navigating using back/forward/stop buttons, and completing forms online.
  • Intermediate-level keyboarding skills (at least 25 WPM, typing by memory, formatting documents).
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following preferred qualifications will give you a competitive edge in this role:

  • At least 1 year of pharmacy technician experience in a retail or call center environment.
  • At least 1.5 years as a pharmacy technician with a certificate/registration by the state as granted by the State Board for Pharmacy or a nationally recognized certification agency.
  • Experience providing customer service to internal and external clients, including meeting quality standards for services and assessment of customer satisfaction.
  • Intermediate to advanced level keyboarding skills (at least 35 WPM, typing by memory, formatting documents).
  • Fluency in Spanish and English.
