Lab Data Entry Specialist – Overnight Shift

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Lab Data Entry Specialist to join our team in Maywood, NJ. As a key member of our diagnostic laboratory, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our specimen processing and data entry functions. Key Responsibilities: * Process incoming samples and input data into the computer system, creating accurate labeling for samples * Handle enclosed samples with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) without directly touching open swabs or performing tests on the samples * Work with COVID-19 samples, as well as other samples such as blood, stool, urine, biopsies, and other human samples * Review, transcribe, and enter demographic and specimen data into the laboratory information system with 100% accuracy * Recognize specimen problems and refer to designated personnel * File Requisition Slips, glass slides, and paraffin blocks, assisting Laboratory Aides as needed * Perform supply maintenance and clean-up duties to enhance workflow and efficiency Additional Skills & Qualifications: * Ability to type accurately at a speed of 30 words per minute (WPM) * Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high levels of accuracy * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work effectively in a team environment * Familiarity with laboratory information systems and data entry software * High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred About the Role: * Shift: 9pm to 6am (overnight) * Location: Maywood, NJ * Opportunity to work with a leading diagnostic laboratory in the nation * Collaborative and dynamic work environment * Opportunities for professional growth and development arenaflex's Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion: arenaflex is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes applications from diverse candidates.
