Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Data Entry Specialist to join our growing team at arenaflex. As a key member of our functional team, you will focus on getting things right the first time around, working independently with minimal supervision to read work orders, shipping orders, and other customer service documents, and entering data from them into our computer systems. Your role is integral to the smooth operation of our company, as you verify the information before entering it and ensure that it is consistent in format. To vary your days and keep your eyes sharp, you will also have built-in filing and copying time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Read customer and shipping orders submitted in person, via print catalog, and online, deciphering handwriting that can be hard to read
  • Key data into specific Microsoft Excel fields, with much of the work for online orders already completed
  • Read and key in data from other source documents, ensuring accuracy and consistency throughout the system
  • Verify that the data is accurate before entering it, and report any data errors or anomalies to your supervisor
  • Keep accurate and updated logs of ongoing work, performing filing, copying, and other administrative duties for about three hours per day
  • Spend approximately five hours daily on data entry keying, with the remaining time allocated to other administrative tasks

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Strong reading comprehension and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent organization and communication skills
  • Patient and detail-oriented, with the ability to perform repetitive work

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, the following skills and qualifications are preferred:

  • Reading knowledge of English, with approximately 5-10% of orders also in Spanish
  • One to two years of experience with data entry and/or filing
  • Social perceptiveness and service orientation, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits

We offer a competitive hourly rate of $14.00 - $20.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
